Recommended computer specification
To obtain the best viewing experience from the disect program it is recommended that the spec of the host computer meets the following minimum and recommended requirements.
- Minimum
- Microsoft Windows XP Pro, 32bit
- 2GHz processor
- Dedicated graphics card with 512MB of DDR3 memory
- 2GB RAM DDR2
- Display resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels at 24bit
- Graphics card driver must support openGL v1.5 or better
- Recommended
- Microsoft Windows XP Pro, 32bit
- 3GHz processor or better
- Dedicated graphics card with at least 1GB of DDR3 memory
- 4GB RAM DDR2 or better
- Display resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels at 32bit or better
- Graphics card driver must support openGL v1.5 or better
NOTE - a three-button mouse, or a mouse with a clickable scroll wheel, is essential to access all the features of disect.
NOTE - Disect conducts all real-time image reconstructions in the graphics processor to take advantage of the superior speed of that component. A good quality dedicated graphics card that meets the spec listed above is therefore essential to achieve the best viewing experience.
